My name is Pete Connolly. I am a licensed massage therapist, License #00015725. I've been practicing massage therapy since 2001. My training is in sports massage, orthopedic massage, lymphatic drainage and craniosacral therapy. Most of my recent training has been with the Chikly Institute, lead by Dr. Bruno Chikly and his wife, Alaya. I taught at Cortiva Institute in downtown Seattle for over ten years.
I believe in supporting people. I believe in offering the highest quality of care possible. I believe in getting results, but without discomfort in the process.
My interest in massage therapy began years ago when I was recovering from a chronic illness. It involved a misdiagnosed parasite, a deteriorating immune system and some deep soul searching and studying to get out of that hole. I am grateful to the team of professionals that helped me along the way and in particular Dr. Jesse Stoff, a remarkable physician specializing in cancer care and the immune system.
This young mid-life crisis found me engaging with yoga, meditation and massage therapy. I had no idea how powerful these modalities were or what difference they would make to my life. Many years later when I moved up to the Seattle Area, I pursued massage therapy and the study of the body, as a result of my health experience. I loved it and became licensed.
Health matters. Knowing the right people in our community who can offer effective care can be transformative, enriching our lives and increasing our vibrancy from day to day living.
I take many courses annually with Chikly Institute to keep learning how to treat and work with these amazing bodies of ours. I enjoy hiking, camping and adventuring and traveling with my daughter of 12. Long weekend camping trips in the summer are my favorite. I eat well, cook well, read, spend time with friends, meditate, practice yoga, play and spend a couple days of the week in the gym.
